Trail Rides

 

All humans welcome - not ladies only. All rides include a guide, western riding instruction, helmets, and an experienced mountain horse. All prices are per person +GST.  For more information email info@cowgirlupadventures.com. Trail rides are suitable for riders 10+.
A reservation is required for rides and visits to the ranch. Please arrive 10 minutes early to get ready for the ride.

What to wear: Dress for the weather, long pants and sturdy footwear. Backpacks are not permitted, saddles have saddle bags to store items.

What to bring: Camera, water, personal items (sunscreen, sunglasses, bug spray, etc..)

Leadline Ride $50

1 hour long introduction to horses and riding. Learn how to safely groom and tack a horse for riding. Learn basic information on horse handling and care. Includes a leadline ride with riding instruction suitable for ages 4+.

1 Hour Ride $80

Scenic ride 1 hour in length. Ride along Spittal Creek nestled under Mount Goslin. Suitable for all levels of rider. Riders must be 10 years of age and up.

2 Hour Ride $140

Scenic ride 2 hour in length. Suitable for all levels of rider. Ride a horse through old growth forest surrounding Spittal Creek. Lovely mountain views. Riders must be 10years of age and up.

Half Day Ride $250

4 hours in the saddle. Beautiful valley views of the Cariboo Mountains and Fraser River. Bring a lunch and Enjoy the view! Riders must be 10 and up. Suitable for folks with some physical fitness or have been on a horse before, as it is hard on a body not used to spending hours in the saddle. Not suitable for first time riders!

Backcountry Day Ride

Day ride in the backcountry up Swift Current Creek. Approximately 6 hour return trip. Unforgettable mountain scenery and creek crossings, this is the real deal! $400/pp/day min 2 people, max 6. Not suitable for children. Bring a lunch, and rain gear. Available July-September

.*not recommended for beginners and some physical fitness required. Meaning: there is a a steep uphill/downhill where riders dismount to walk up and down. A person should be comfortable with mounting and dismounting a horse unassisted (training provided of course). There are also multiple mud holes. Typically the horses just walk through but the odd time they may lunge through. Hiking and Biking fitness works also!

Western Campout

Overnight campout. 2-3 hour ride out from the ranch to camp. Fully guided and catered campout. Perfect for families and beginners. Great introduction to camping with horses.
